filet vs. fillet

Use filet for beef, chicken, or anything other than fish. Use fillet in reference to fish.

    I question the use of “filet” for anything other than beef, of which it is a specific cut.

    Also, I would go further and note that “fillet” is also a verb, whereas “filet” is always a noun. So whether it’s fish or beef or chicken, you are filleting it.
