Driving home from Lancaster. These are the tanks seen in the opening credits of The Sopranos. They’re on the New Jersey Turnpike, fairly close to New York City.

Taken while driving to Pennsylvania. My paternal grandmother, who’s in a nursing home with Alzheimer’s in Lancaster, has stopped eating and drinking. This might be one of the last times I get to see her, sadly.

I’m on a prescription for something called a “Z pak”—an antibiotic—along with some sort of cortisone. Doctor says I should be feeling better in a couple of days.

Made more progress. Now about two feet long. Almost through first skein.

My scarf seemed too wide. On the advice of the GF, I decided to rip out everything and start over. It’s going much faster now, and it’s at a little more than a foot long now. I am told I have remarkably consistent stitches.

Being first is always nice, but it is equally nice to get some sleep, to actually go out and do things IRL, and to not worry about ephemeral crap that no one will care about 24 hours from now—or indeed two hours from now.
